Lie still.Let the fire breather slumber.
If it awakes the world you love will burn. The ashes will cling to your hands as gloves. Those you love will fear you. Run from your cracked, bleeding lips. The heavy grey clouds of poison that escape your lungs will warn them. They will run.
Your ribs will turn dry. They will crack and break. Exposing a blackened heart. No centre so wrought by fire can recover. The coals of your memories can produce no diamonds. The pressures of the world will only crush such a weakened soul.
You cannot escape the fire. It will consume you. Take the life from under you. If you disturb the creature it will tear at you with claws that glow red and teeth of brightest white. Your wet eyes cannot combat the heat of wrath.
So keep still. Hold the burning in your chest. Endure the pain a while longer. Until the blazing flame subsides. Lie still.
